In August this year, I produced the first episode of OpenHeroines podcast, a new audio experience and experiment. Joining in this first production of the podcast were three fellow Open Heroines members; Paulina Bustos Arellano, Meag Doherty and Alma Rangel Macias. We discussed and shared our perspective on safe space and answering a few key questions;
- What is a safe space?
- What does safe space means to you?
- Do women need to build/organize/mobilize for a secret society to be able to have a safe space?
- Do women have to go to extra miles and make sure there is equal gender representation on stage in conferences and events or is that the organizer’s full responsibility?
