In August this year, I produced the first episode of OpenHeroines podcast, a new audio experience and experiment. Joining in this first production of the podcast were three fellow Open Heroines members; Paulina Bustos Arellano, Meag Doherty and Alma Rangel Macias. We discussed and shared our perspective on safe space and answering a few key questions;

  1. What is a safe space?
  2. What does safe space means to you?
  3. Do women need to build/organize/mobilize for a secret society to be able to have a safe space?
  4. Do women have to go to extra miles and make sure there is equal gender representation on stage in conferences and events or is that the organizer’s full responsibility?
